What is it?
Retteketet, take more ket 😉 AKA Retteketetteket, is a radio / streaming radio show at the underground radio AMW. Its is an Organic House / Downtempo stage to present your skills to the world, live and by replay. Its a stepping stone to getting gigs booked, a recording of yourself, a showcase to present or a try-out your new productions. We at AMW are music fanatics, party goers and flavor makers. At Retteketetteket we don’t take life and our self too seriously, just have fun and enjoy yourself, no pressure.

What to do?

– Send your logo & 1 portrait of yourself (will be made into black and white)

– Send a for our show relevant bio/intro so we can introduce you

– A soundcloud/Youtube link with 1 relevant liveset if you weren’t scouted by Guido

– Read the context and rules at this page, by contacting us you agree to them

– Prepare a 1 hour set

Here are some guidelines while playing at AMW #retteketetteket

AMW Premises

Respect the gear: 3xCDJ-3000, V10 & Vinyl: 2x Technics SL1200 (bring your own needles)

No drinks around the decks, put your drink on the special DJ tray behind the decks.

Mind your belongings like headphones and USB drives.

Leave the space like you found it, clean and organised.

No smoking indoors

No sync or laptop assistance unless you are Hybrid/live, keep practising and contact us later when you master the basics!

Playing at retteketetteket – context

In #retteketetteket the experience of the listener/viewer is 1st. We as DJ’s are just furniture in their experience, not the centre point of attention, so there will be low light setting while playing. Its ok to get creative in every sense, just keep in mind to leave your ego or Clout out of your performance and focus on the listeners/viewers experience.

We’re catering to people that are returning from their big night out or are going to a psychedelic adventure. We embrace the crazy and misfits of humans and musically, so if you feel that record “is just too weird and doesn’t fit” be sure to play it :). If you need to get a feel of what we are trying to do at #retteketetteket go and watch any “Mayan Warrior” sets from burning man. Example Benchmark

Your show doesn’t need a buildup nor an ending unless you feel like it, we’re not stopping and starting anything, we keep the flame going, your show is just another wave.
Take some risk ! We’d rather see a human happy mistake than a robot safe set. You can always come back later and do it agiannn.

Some shows have themes, like “underwater”, “The French touch”, “Villa Organica” etc, check-in in advance what this weeks theme is. You can use it to influence your tracklist but its not mandatory.

You can’t play commercial songs, however… sometimes its needed to explain your set or inspiration, its ok to open or end your set with such a song, just be aware that if you do not remix it properly, it will be muted by Facebook / other streaming platforms.

Try to stay away from ambient/tech/garage/dubstep and any songs over 125BPM, they do not match with the expectations of listeners we are catering too.

What do you get?

When you perform at #retteketetteket you get the following benefits:

Your show “RAW” data including announcements

Your show MP4, announcements cut, for your youtube/soundcloud

1 minute reel for your social media

If you bring/play original work, it will be accompanied with a shoutout and purchase link your beatport in the Facebook live post if you want it.

Right now there is no monetary compensation from AMW, however in the future should this change we will let you know and make sure you get another invitation.

To promote your set or when you post your replays please use the hashtag #retteketetteket and post the link only in your personal social media and groups you are an ACTIVE member of. Do not mass spam the link in groups or around. The goal is that people who are into this will find you/us. Its the pre-qualification of our listeners/viewers to join our #retteketetteket club to be invited by word of mouth.
